New Conference St Josephine Bakhita established
On 8 December 2013, the Executive Committee of the Central Council Orange River and some of the local Presidents of the St Augustine Parish departed for Prieska to establish the new Conference St Josephine Bakhita. This Conference consists of 15 members, the majority of whom are ladies.
The inauguration and Blessing took place during the 8 o clock Mass, at which the celebrant was Rev Fr Gerald.
In 2012 the CC Orange River celebrated their 50th Anniversary, the Golden Jubilee. As one brother mientioned in his speech, the highlight of the 50 years has been watching the original Conference, St Augustine, which began with 6 members in 1962, grow into a big tree, with 15 branches (Conferences). God Bless the CC Orange River!
We want to take this special opportunity to thank Rev Fr Moya in his absence and Rev Fr Gerald for their assistance and Cooperation. A special thanks to National Council for their financial assistance. It is the helping hand of the National Council which made it possible to establish two Conferences in two months.
Below are some pictures of the event.
